National Association of Boards of Pharmacy Support CSIP

In a partnership with the White House, the Center for Safe Internet Pharmacies (CSIP) will launch a campaign to help educate consumers about the dangers of unsafe prescription drugs often sold by illegal online pharmacies. The CSIP campaign will include public service announcements and other media outreach efforts. In addition, CSIP – a non-profit organization that works to combat the problem of illegal online pharmacies through education, enforcement, and information sharing – announced a formal partnership with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Operation Pangaea V, which will identify and address illegal sites that pose a potential threat to consumers. NABP has supported CSIP efforts by providing information about the Association’s ongoing research on rogue Internet drug outlets, including providing the quarterly Internet Drug Outlet Identification Program Progress Report for Regulators as a resource.
