Congressional Hearing Testimony Cites Work of CSIP

Victoria A. Espinel, the U.S. Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator (IPEC) of the Office of Management and Budget, testified before the U.S. House of Representatives Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Intellectual Property, Competition, and the Internet on September 20, 2012. In that testimony, which highlighted efforts of the IPEC to protect U.S. intellectual property, Espinel focused on efforts to combat counterfeit drugs and specifically highlighted the creation of the Center for Safe Internet Pharmacies (CSIP) as a key example of public-private partnerships seeking to address the issue of fake medications sold online and the protection of consumers.
